Between People : The Living History of Musique Traditionelle in Northwestern Bretagne

In the Finistère department of Bretagne, traditional music serves as a space wherein the endangered Breton language and concepts of regional identity gain new definitions. Oral transmission, integral to the passage of music from one generation to the next, thrives here. Through observation and interview, I am creating a work of creative non-fiction to capture how the musique traditionelle community exemplifies broader trends of traditional revival during the digital age.
